Karcher G2000MK Power Washer Spark Plug (NGK BP6HS)
This is the factory-specified spark plug for the Karcher G2000MK gas pressure washer, which runs on an 87cc Karcher GC-series engine. A worn or fouled plug is one of the most common reasons a gas pressure washer gets hard to start or loses power under load. It’s also the cheapest fix to try first. The NGK BP6HS is a standard copper-core, non-resistor plug with a projected tip for clean, reliable ignition in small 4-stroke engines.

Signs Your Pressure Washer Needs a New Spark Plug
- It takes several pulls to start, or won’t start at all
- The engine surges, runs rough, or stalls when you squeeze the trigger
- The old plug’s tip is black and sooty, oily, or the electrode is visibly worn or rounded
- The plug hasn’t been changed in over a year
How to Replace a Pressure Washer Spark Plug
- Let the engine cool completely, then pull the spark plug boot off.
- Remove the old plug with a 13/16″ spark plug socket.
- Check that the new plug’s gap is .028″ or (0.7mm) and adjust it gently if needed.
- Thread the new plug in by hand to avoid cross-threading. Then snug it about a half turn with the wrench to seat the new gasket.
- Push the boot back on firmly until it clicks.
Will This Spark Plug Fit My Pressure Washer?
This plug is specified for the Kärcher G2000MK. It will also work in any other engine that calls for an NGK BP6HS. The easiest check is to compare the code printed on your old plug’s porcelain. Don’t substitute a long-reach plug like the BPR6ES (common on Honda GX engines) into an engine that uses the short 1/2″-reach BP6HS. The extra length can contact the piston.
